Mitsubishi MLZ-KX Series Ceiling Cassette Annual Filter Bundle

Our MLZ-KX Series Filter Bundles include OEM Mitsubishi Replacement Filters for the following Mitsubishi mini split units: MLZ-KX09NL, MLZ-KX12NL, MLZ-KX18NL, MLZ-KX09NL-U1, MLZ-KX12NL-U1, and MLZ-KX18NL-U1 Recessed Ceiling-cassette Indoor Units. All of these units require two (2) replacement air filters.

Large Air Purifying Filters (2 Included)

These Mitsubishi large air-purifying filters serve as the primary pre-filters for your mini split system. Constructed from a durable, washable woven-mesh material, they capture larger airborne particles such as dust, lint, and debris before they reach the indoor unit’s coil. This helps maintain proper airflow, protects internal components, and supports efficient system operation.

Although these filters are washable for routine maintenance, they are not lifetime filters. Over time, the mesh can stretch, weaken, or accumulate buildup that regular cleaning can’t fully remove. To maintain consistent airflow and indoor air quality, periodic replacement is required.

Maintenance & Care: Clean the large air-purifying filters every two weeks to maintain system efficiency and prevent airflow restriction. Regular cleaning reduces power consumption and helps prevent condensation buildup inside the air conditioner—an issue that can contribute to mold and fungi growth.
To clean, remove dust using a vacuum with a soft-bristle brush, or rinse the filters gently with water. Allow them to air-dry fully in the shade before reinstalling.

Replacement Recommendation: Replace every years for best performance.

Anti-Allergy Enzyme Filters

The Optional Mitsubishi air filter is a blue anti-allergy enzyme filter that attaches to the unit's plastic-framed Air Purifying Filters. The filter captures airborne bacteria, viruses, and germs and traps fine dust and pollen that the larger post-filter may not catch. This filter is made with a special enzyme to break down the bonds in allergen proteins, giving your home or office fresh air while reducing allergens in the environment.

• Maintenance & Care: This disposable air filter should not be washed. If this filter is washed, the media will be damaged. If dirt or dust accumulates on the filter, it can be carefully vacuumed during regular cleaning of the large air purifying filters. This filter should be REPLACED every four (4) months.

Microparticle Upgrade Filters

This Optional Mitsubishi filter is a white add-on filter designed to combat smoke and help you breathe easier. It is the ideal solution for reducing smoke from outdoor fires and indoor smoking. Mix & Match these filters in your system(s) for exceptional performance when used in combination with Anti-Allergy Enzyme Filters. These Filters are engineered to capture fine smoke particles, along with dust, pollen, and spores, improving your indoor air quality and safeguarding your health.

• Maintenance & Care: Dirt and dust should be removed from the filter using a vacuum cleaner every three months. Do not wash the filter. Depending on your environment, this Mitsubishi Filter should be REPLACED every one to three years. Replace the filter immediately if you notice oil stains or tobacco tar accumulating on it.
