The Koch Multi-Pleat XL11 is a MERV 11 pleated replacement filter for gas and oil furnaces, heat pumps, and AC air handlers that use a 14 x 22 x 1 filter. Model P62R13875218751. Actual dimensions are 13-3/4" × 21-3/4" × 1" — nominal 14 x 22 x 1.

Filter Media & Construction

The XL11 uses 100% non-woven synthetic media manufactured from recycled material. The media is hydrophobic — it does not absorb moisture — and maintains performance in high-humidity environments where paper-based or cellulose media degrades. MERV 11 efficiency is achieved with low resistance to airflow, making it suitable for systems not designed for high-static filters.

The V-pleat design maximizes surface area within the 1" depth. Diamond-shaped expanded metal media support prevents pleat collapse under sustained airflow. The moisture-resistant clay-coated frame is manufactured from recycled material.

MERV 11 filters capture particles in the 1.0–3.0 µm range at 65%+ efficiency and particles in the 3.0–10.0 µm range at 85%+ efficiency. This includes fine dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, and some bacteria-carrying particles — a meaningful step up from standard MERV 6–8 filters without the high static pressure drop of MERV 13+ filters that can strain residential and light commercial HVAC equipment.
