Installed once inside your HVAC duct, it runs continuously — treating the air passing through your system 24/7 without filters to swap, without complicated controls, and without producing ozone.

This is Fresh-Aire UV's most advanced residential air treatment system. It pairs a 254nm UVC germicidal lamp with proprietary EverCarbon™ activated carbon cells to neutralize biological and chemical contaminants at the source — inside the ductwork and on the coil itself. The result is cleaner air, a cleaner coil, and an HVAC system that runs more efficiently over time.

The APCO-X Ultra now includes a built-in LED status indicator so you always know the system is working — and get a heads-up when the lamp is due for replacement. Lamp replacement is the only maintenance required, and it's only needed every 3 years.

DIY-Friendly Installation

The APCO-X Ultra installs in the supply or return duct of your central air system. If you're comfortable with basic tools and cutting sheet metal or duct board, this is a manageable project. The unit mounts directly to the duct using the included duct plate, gasket, and screws. Power connects to a constant 24VAC source at the HVAC control panel — either directly or via the included transformer for line voltage connections. No special skills required beyond standard HVAC access and basic wiring comfort. Full installation instructions are included.

Warranty Registration

Important Installation Notes

• Must be wired to constant power — do not connect to the blower relay
• Install upstream of humidifiers when possible
• Orient so UV light does not shine directly on non-UV-resistant materials (flex duct, filter media, humidifiers)
• Installation by anyone other than a licensed HVAC or electrical contractor voids the manufacturer warranty

Warranty

The APCO-X Ultra carries a lifetime warranty on all parts and a 3-year warranty on the UV lamp, provided directly by Fresh-Aire UV. Warranty registration and support are handled through Fresh-Aire UV. We are a reseller; all warranty claims and product support are managed by the manufacturer.
