The Abatement Technologies VL602 is the OEM VAPOR-LOCK® pleated particulate carbon filter compatible with both the CAP600 Series whole-home air purifiers and the PREDATOR® PRED600 / PRED750 commercial portable air scrubbers. It provides dual-function filtration: a pleated media layer captures fine airborne particulates, while a woven activated carbon layer adsorbs odors, vapors, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). UL 900 Class 2 listed. This listing ships six (6) filters.

Using the VL602 in the CAP600 Series — Whole-Home Air Purification

In the CAP600 system, the VL602 is the standard 2nd stage VAPOR-LOCK® carbon filter, running continuously as part of a permanent whole-home installation. The 6-to-9-month replacement interval reflects that steady, residential use cycle.

Recommended Replacement — CAP600:

• Normal conditions — Every 6 to 9 months
• Replace more frequently if: you have pets, active children, wall-to-wall carpeting, cook frequently with spices or oils, or live near a high-traffic road

Staying current on 1st and 2nd stage filter changes is the most cost-effective way to extend the life of your HEPA core.

Using the VL602 in the PREDATOR® PRED600 / PRED750 — Commercial Portable Air Scrubber

In the PREDATOR® portable air scrubber, the VL602 is an optional upgrade that replaces the standard H502 2nd stage pleated filter. When substituted for the H502, the VL602 functions as a combined 2nd and 3rd stage filter in a single media — handling both fine particulate filtration and carbon-based odor/VOC control simultaneously. This makes it the right choice for jobsites where odors, chemical vapors, or VOCs are a concern, such as mold remediation, demolition, or post-fire restoration work.

Because the PREDATOR® operates in high-particulate commercial environments with variable and often intensive duty cycles, replacement intervals are driven by jobsite conditions — not a calendar schedule. If you are running the standard H502 alongside the VL602, follow the H502's jobsite-based indicator light schedule for the pleated filter, and replace the VL602 bi-annually or as odor control demands.
