Lossnay is the ultimate home ventilation system that provides fresh, clean air from outside, while simultaneously removing moisture and stale indoor air. Bringing in fresh air into the house can help improve air quality by lowering the amount of CO2. Heat is recovered from the outgoing stale air. This heat is utilized to pre-condition incoming fresh air so your HVAC system is not required to work as hard to maintain desired room temperature. Please Note: These are Special Order Products. Replacement Lossnay Prefilters
Our Genuine OEM Replacement Prefilters are designed for Mitsubishi Lossnay Energy Recovery Ventilator Systems. This first stage filter is designed to remove large particles from the air and extend the life of your Lossnay Core. These filters are installed on both sides of the Bottom of your Lossnay Cores (in a typical installation). The number of replacement filters required is specific to your system.
Filter Dimensions: 22" x 9-1/2" (Nominal)
Maintenance & Care: Clean filters every three to six months using a vacuum cleaner to remove light dust. For stubborn dirt, wash in a mild detergent solution and lukewarm water (under 104F). Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling. This filter can be washed with water and reused up to 4 times. Replace the pre-filters every one to two years to preserve the effectiveness and longevity of the Lossnay Core.
Replacement High Efficiency Supply Air Filters
Your system includes MERV7 High-Efficiency Filters, which filter air before it leaves the unit and enters your environment. These filters are installed on the Supply side of the Lossnay Core (Top Right—typical Installation). The number of replacement filters required is specific to your system. An Optional MERV16 filter is available as an upgrade from the standard MERV7, removing 99.7% of Pollutants and supplying your building with fresh, clean air.
Filter Dimensions: 22" x 9-1/2" (Nominal)
Filter Replacement: This is a Disposable Filter and cannot be cleaned or washed. Filter Replacement is Required when the filter has become clogged. This filter has a typical lifespan of 4 Months to 2 Years, depending on your air quality. The table below shows the replacement cycle based on system runtime of 10 hours/day x 250 Days/Year.
Replacement Lossnay ERV Core
The Lossnay ERV Core is a heat exchanger that uses a diaphragm to recover heat from outgoing air and transfer it to incoming air. This process is integral to the system's function and helps reduce energy costs and improve indoor air quality. Each system has at least two cores that require routine maintenance and replacement.
Maintenance & Care: The Lossnay Core must be cleaned once every two years (annually if possible). Increase the cleaning frequency if exposed to excessive dust or pollutants. Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment to gently remove dust and dirt from the exposed surfaces of the Lossnay cores. DO NOT use the hard nozzle of a vacuum cleaner, or wash the Cores in water. This will cause irreparable damage to your core, requiring replacement. The Lossnay Core has a typical service life of up to 10 years with routine maintenance and filter replacement.

Recommended Inspection & Professional Maintenance
After several years of operation, the performance of your system may decline due to natural wear. It is recommended to have a professional inspect and maintain your system to address the following:
- Filter deterioration leading to dust entry.
- Unusual noise or vibration due to the motor reaching the end of its service life.
- Air leakage caused by the Lossnay core reaching its service limit.
Consumable Components
The following parts are subject to wear and may require replacement over time: motor, supply air filter, exhaust air filter, lossnay core, circuit board, and thermostat.
