Maintenance & Care: The Fujitsu K9317250009 Air Filter Kit comes with two different types of filters, so the cleaning instructions for both filters are different. 

• The UTR-FA16 Apple Catechin filter is a disposable air filter and shouldn't be washed. If this filter is washed, the media will be damaged. The Polyphenol air filter should also not be stored for long periods of time because as the filter ages, it loses the ability to clean the air as effectively. Replace this filter every three months.
• The recommended cleaning process for the UTR-FA16-2 Negative Air Ions deodorizing filter is to clean it in warm water and mild detergent. The air filter should not be scrubbed with an abrasive pad or brush, as this will damage its deodorizing power. Fujitsu recommends that this air filter be cleaned every three months and replaced every three years.
