The Fujitsu K9317250009 UTR-FA16 & UTR-FA16-2 is the OEM replacement filter for the following Fujitsu mini split units: ASU12RL, ASU12RLF, ASU12RLF1, ASU12RLS2, ASU12RLS3, ASU12RLS3Y, ASU15RLF1 ASU15RLS, ASU15RLS2, ASU15RLS3, ASU15RLSY3, ASU7RLF, ASU7RLF1, ASU9RL, ASU9RLF, ASU9RLF1, ASU9RLS2, ASU9RLS3, ASU9RLS3Y.

Since the Fujitsu K9317250009 Air Filter Kit comes with two different types of filters, there are different cleaning instructions for both filters.

The UTR-FA16 Apple Catechin filter is a disposable air filter that shouldn't be washed or replaced. If this filter is washed, the media will be damaged. The Polyphenol air filter should also only be stored temporarily because as the filter ages, it loses the ability to clean the air as effectively. This filter should be replaced every three months.

The recommended cleaning process for the UTR-FA16-2 Negative Air Ion deodorizing filter is to clean the filter in warm water and mild detergent. The air filter should not be scrubbed with an abrasive pad or brush. Scrubbing will damage the deodorizing power of the filter. This filter should be cleaned every three months and replaced every year.
