The Fujitsu K9315361035 UTR-FA16 Apple Catechin filter is a disposable air filter and should NOT be washed. It must be replaced for the best results. If this filter is washed, the media will be damaged. The Polyphenol air filter should also not be stored for long periods because as the filter ages, it loses the ability to clean the air as effectively.

The Fujitsu K9315361042 UTR-FA16-2 Negative Air Ion deodorizing filter has a recommended cleaning process to clean the filter in warm water and mild detergent. The air filter should not be scrubbed with an abrasive pad or brush, as scrubbing will damage the filter's deodorizing power. Fujitsu recommends that this air filter be cleaned every three months and replaced every three years.
