The Flanders PrecisionAire MERV 8 furnace filter model 80055.01599 is a high performance disposable replacement air filter for all Bryant, Carrier and Payne gas and oil furnaces, heat pump and AC air handlers that use a 21 1/2 x 23 5/16 x 1 air filter. This filter has the same efficiency rating as the original manufacturer's reusable filter, with the convenience of a disposable. The size of the 80055.01599 air filter is approximately 21 3/8" x 23 1/4" x 3/4".
The Flanders PrecisionAire MERV 8 Pre Pleat 40 disposable air filters features a filtering medium that is more efficient and ecologically friendly than most other air filters on the market. Made entirely from recycled materials, this medium achieves MERV 8 efficiency with low resistance to airflow. It is also unaffected by high humidity and is hydrophobic (non-moisture absorbing). Flanders PrecisionAire Pre Pleat 40 air filters can upgrade existing flat panels as well as MERV 6 & 7 pleated filters currently being used with little increase in resistance. All Pre Pleat 40 filters are 30-35% efficient by ASHRAE 52.1-92 and MERV 8 per ASHRAE 52.2-99. Diagonal and horizontal support members provide frame strength and the filter media pack is sealed to eliminate air bypass. The Flanders PrecisionAire Pre Pleat 40 filters are UL 900 Class 2 listed.

The Flanders 80055.01599 air filter media should be checked every month. Adjust the schedule to your needs, but at least replace the filter every three months.
